Shirley Riche

Shirley Thomas Riche, our loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully in her sleep on, Tuesday, November 18, 2025.

Shirley was born March 29, 1934 in Provo, Utah, the daughter of Grant and Edith McDonald Thomas. She lived in Twin Falls and Boise, Idaho before moving to Ogden in 1949.

She graduated from Ogden High School in 1952, and attended Utah State University, where she was a member of Alfa Chi Omega sorority.

She married Edward A. Riche on June 18, 1957 in Ogden, Utah. They have two daughters, Lisa Riche Beck (Doug) of Roy, Utah and Susan Riche Ledford (Bryan) of Spring Branch, Texas. Shirley has 4 grandchildren, Britney Beck Kay, Nacole Beck Carter, and Justin and Alexandra Ledford. She has 3 great grandchildren, Jacen Beck- Kay, Lilly Ana Beck-Kay, and Bently Beck-Kay.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward Riche and great grandson, Preston Beck.

She was a past member of the Jr. League of Ogden and the Ogden Golf and Country Club where she enjoyed playing golf for many years with her friends.

We will always remember her laughter and love. She was a special lady and will be greatly missed.
