Anthony "Tony" Nero, 72, of Wheeling, Illinois passed away peacefully in his home on June 20, 2025. He was surrounded by his wife, children, and siblings after a two year fight against Pancreatic Cancer.

A loving brother to Carmen (Helen) Nero, Carol (Oscar) Taft, Cheryl Nero, Annette (Nick) Virgilio, Charlotte (Casey) Piwonski.
Tony was a dedicated fan of both the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Bears, supporting his teams through every win and loss. He cherished the moments spent with his family, often inviting them over for BBQs and cooking meals that brought everyone together. Tony had a special bond with his sisters and friends, sharing laughter and good times during visits to Elsies, where they would play the slots. He took pride in his extensive collections of vintage G.I. Joe figurines and baseball cards, which reflected his passion for nostalgia. Known for his playful spirit, Tony loved to bring joy and laughter to those around him, often playfully scaring friends and pulling lighthearted pranks. His warm-hearted nature and love for fun truly made a difference in the lives of those who knew him.
