Anthony Nocito Obituary

Nocito - Anthony E., born in Mineola, NY, and a longtime Manhattan resident, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday morning, December 17, 2025. NYC-tough but loving to his core, Anthony lived with grit, humor, and deep loyalty to his family. He began as a paving contractor, moved into demolition, and expanded into asbestos removal, carting, recycling, and fireproofing. As landfill disposal proved unsustainable for Asbestos, he engineered a solution that destroys all six forms of Asbestos, eliminating the need for disposal. He loved theater and the arts, modeled, and at 35 wrote and produced Last of the Red Hot Mamas, a one-woman musical about Sophie Tucker. Anthony, also known as "Our #1 Dad," also loved riding his Harley, spending time with his children, and going to Chelsea Piers. He is survived by his much-beloved wife, LuWay; his children, Adam, Selina, Anthony III.,

Anton, Jason, AJ, Tiluna,

Lumia, and Marco; and his brother, James; his sister-in-law Yu Lu; his nephews, James and Ting Ting. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, 4:30â€"6:30PM, at Peter C. DeLuca Funeral Home, 199 Bleecker St., New York, NY 10012.

Sent Flowers

Allan C. Monroe

December 20, 2025

My condolences to the Nocito family from Allan (Chuck) and Mechele Monroe of New London Connecticut. I met him a few times he was a very accepting person. He even let me ride his motorcycle when he was visiting Tony, his son and when I went to his house in Greenwich Village in New York with Tony some years agohe treated us like family. Even on Facebook, he was always giving me a shout out. Again my condolences to the family.
