Anthony Passio, Jr., age 76, of Runnemede, formerly of Philadelphia, known affectionately as 'Pops', passed away on May 8, 2024 at home with his family and pets by his side.
Beloved husband of Patricia Tartaglia-Passio. Devoted father of Ronald Tartaglia, Lori Ribecchi (Daniel), Dina Valentino (Dino), Mark Passio, and Eric Tartaglia (Shawnna). Cherished grandfather of Taylor, Dylan, Zachary, Eric Jr., Amanda, Sean, Dean, Christopher, and Tabitha. Dear brother of Gwen Passio. Son of the late Anthony Sr. and Gwen Passio. Also survived by many friends and cousins.
Anthony proudly served in the United States Army as a Green Beret, Special Forces and was actively involved with the American Disabled Veterans. He was an expert Electrician by trade. Anthony was a member of the JFK Democrat Club in Runnemede.
Anthony loved to travel and always had endless stories to tell that kept you listening for hours. In his free time, Anthony was an avid reader and connoisseur of history. He was a collector of coins, stamps, and antiques. Anthony loved all music, broadway theater, and the arts. He loved to cook and was everyone's sous chef. Anthony always helped whenever asked; no was never in his vocabulary. His family was the cornerstone of his life and he will be greatly missed.
There will be a visitation from 6pm-8pm on Tuesday May 14 and from 9:30am until 10:30am on Wednesday May 15 at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Memorial Mass 11am Wednesday at Holy Child Parish - St Maria Goretti Church, Runnemede. Interment private at the request of the family.
