Anthony Pontarelli

Anthony Pontarelli, 91, a resident for most of his life of Providence, Rhode Island, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, co-founder and co-owner with his brother, Dominic, of Columbus Oil Company in North Providence, died at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence on Saturday, November 2, 2002. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, November 4, 2002, 5-8 p.m., at Pontarelli-Marino Funeral Home , 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, November 5, 9 a.m., at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, 10 a.m., at Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1081 Mineral Springs Avenue, North Providence. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket, Rhode Island. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to American Cancer Society of Rhode Island, 400 Main Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860.
