Anthony N. Proto

In Branford March 23, 2011, Anthony N. Proto, beloved husband of Donata "Dee" Lucian Proto of Branford. Father of Anthony M Proto of Branford, and James R. (Jocelyn) Proto of North Haven. Brother of William Proto of Wallingford, and the late Mary Street, Vinta Giordano, James, Pasquale and Frank Proto. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Proto was born in New Haven November 13, 1927, son of the late Pasquale and Rose Pepe Proto. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corps in World War II. He was a retired machinist, having worked for Algonquin Industries for many years. He was a communicant of St. Mary Church in Branford, and was a member of the Italian-American Club of Branford, and American Legion Post 83 in Branford. Funeral from the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, Monday morning at 9:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church at 10:00. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call Sunday from 4 – 7 PM at the funeral home.
