Anthony Pucillo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ruggiero Family Memorial Home - East Boston on Dec. 31, 2024.
Anthony Joseph Pucillo, of East Boston, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2024, just one day shy of his 88th birthday. Born on December 31, 1936, Anthony was the beloved husband of over 65 years to Viola (DePierro) Pucillo, with whom he built a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.
Anthony was the devoted father of Karen Struppa and her late husband, Anthony (Nino), and Lisa Flanagan and her husband, Thomas. He was the proud grandfather of Deana Fetherston and her husband, Adam, and Anthony Struppa and his companion, Karissa. Anthony's love extended to his great-grandchildren, Nina, Romie, and Olivia, who brought immense joy to his life.
Anthony was the dear brother of Martha Sousa and her husband, George, and the late Joey and Guy Pucillo, Marie D'Andrea, and Dolly Allan. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever remember his kindness and humor.
A proud member of the Star of the Sea Men's Club, Anthony was also a dedicated member of the Postal Workers Union and the Construction Union. He was the longtime proprietor of Pucillo Cold Cuts in Day Square, East Boston, where his warmth and hard work left a lasting impact on the community he loved so deeply.
Anthony's legacy is one of devotion to his family, a strong work ethic, and a deep connection to his East Boston roots. His kindness, laughter, and generous spirit will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Family and friends will honor Anthony's life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home 971 Saratoga St., East Boston on Friday January 3rd from 4:00PM to 8:00PM and again on Saturday morning at 8:30AM before leaving in funeral procession to St. John the Evangelist Church Winthrop St., Winthrop for a 10:00AM funeral mass in celebration of Anthony's life. Services will conclude with Anthony being laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
Rest in peace, Anthony. You will forever remain in our hearts.
