Anthony Shawn "Tony" Purdy

Anthony "Tony" Shawn Purdy, 57, of Ozark, Missouri, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 18, 2023 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Harrison, Arkansas on December 2, 1965; the son of Richard L. Purdy and Gail Kelley. On July 6, 1985, he was united in marriage to Darla Snow, who survives at their home.
Tony was a graduate of New Bloomfield High School. He continued his education at Columbia College studying business administration. Tony was employed with Maytag (now Whirlpool) in Jefferson City until the location closed. He relocated to Iowa where he continued to work for the company. He later worked at Tracker Boats where he was production manager.
Tony was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan, enjoyed hunting in his younger years, and cherished time he spent with family and friends, especially his grandbabies. He will be missed dearly by those who know and love him.
Tony is survived by his wife of 37 years, Darla; children, Shane (Randi) Purdy, and Jessica (Brian) Kendle; grandchildren, Hazel and Ridge Purdy (and one on the way); and siblings, Debbie Rice and Billy Purdy. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard, son, Anthony Purdy Jr., and brother, Clark "Neal" Purdy.
Friends will be received on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Burial will directly follow at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
