Anthony Risi

Anthony F. Risi, 86, of Guilford, passed away on July 12, 2025. Born on September 27, 1938 in Harlem, New York, he was the son of the late Mike and Lena Risi.

Anthony was an entrepreneur at a young age – Owning hair salons in New York. He had an incredible work ethic – he could even figure out how to sell ice to Eskimos. After a long successful career in the beauty industry, he ventured off into a career at the NY Commodity Exchange – where he retired at the age of 55.

He enthusiastically shared stories about both careers and his youth, growing up in the Bronx – Most worthy of hearing over and over.

He enjoyed boating, buying new cars, driving without a destination, The Bronx, word jumbles, talking about the stock market (especially Microsoft), cooking every variation of salmon, visits with family, and lunches with his long time buddies, Louie and Zeus.

Anthony is survived by his children, Vince Risi (Maureen), Brenda Kirtopoulos (Jim), Mark Risi and Jonathan Risi; his grandchildren, Adam Costantini, Julia Raccio (Mike), Massimo Risi and Kelly Risi; his greatgrandchild, Lio; his sister, Ilona Muoio; as well as several cousins, nephews and nieces.

Anthony joins his parents, his brother, Vinny and his sister, Ginger in rest.

All services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
