Anthony J. ‘Toby’ Ross, 75, of North Belle Vernon, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at AHN Jefferson Hospital, Jefferson Hills. Born October 3, 1950 in N. Charleroi, PA he was the son of the late John J. Ross Sr. and Anna Mendicino Ross. A lifelong resident of North Belle Vernon, Anthony was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church, Belle Vernon and was retired from Belle Vernon Area School District, where he worked in the maintenance department. His commitment to service extended beyond his professional life; as a proud veteran of the Vietnam War, Tony served honorably in the US Air Force. His unwavering dedication to his country was exemplified through his affiliation with various organizations, including the Belle Vernon VFW Post 699, American Legion Post 659, the Legion Club of Charleroi, and the Knights of Columbus Council 3026. Additionally, he was a life member of the North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department, where he forged lifelong friendships and memories.
He is survived by his brother & sister in law Thomas & Trenise Ross of Hedgesville, WV; sister in law Cindy Ross of North Belle Vernon; three nephews Thomas Ross Jr. & wife Heather, Travis Ross, Brian & Carla Rotheram; seven great nieces & great nephews Brooke Rotheram, Brianna Rotheram, Brian Rotheram, Natalie Chrisman, Emma Chrisman, Savannah Chrisman and Maddox Ross. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his two brothers John J. Ross Jr., Michael Ross and two nieces Sherry Rotheram and Laurie Giannini.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held Monday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 10:00 am at St. Sebastian R.C. Church. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery with military honors provided by the US Air Force. Members of the Belle Vernon VFW will conduct services Sunday at 6:30 PM followed by the North Belle Vernon Fire Dept. services at 7 pm in the funeral home.
