Anthony Scheffer, 89, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026. He was born in Charleston, Missouri on January 6, 1937.
He was a kind and loving person who loved to joke, play cards, and lovingly pick on his wife, Barbara. He enjoyed making everyone happy and was a hard worker throughout his life. He will be deeply loved and greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Henry Scheffer, Sr and mother, Bertha Lorene Cairns-Blagg; sister, Lorene DeFilippo (Scheffer); brothers, Tom Scheffer and Roy Scheffer; son, Kevin Scheffer; his second wife, Phyllis' children, Chris and Emily.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Barbara; Barbara's son, Robert Hyle; his first wife Joyce's sons, Courtney and Darryl; his second wife Phyllis' children, David, Rosanne and Angie; siblings, Marcella Hampton, Bobby (Barbara) Cairns, Dennis (Constance) Cairns; stepsister, Mickey Hoover Clearwater, KS; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, February 4th at Haysville Christian Church 1306 W. Grand Ave Haysville, KS 67060.
