Anthony J. Scotto, born April 5, 1947, passed away after a long battle with chronic myeloid leukemia on Friday, September 26, 2025. Anthony, (aka Tony, Scotto, Pop) was born in the Bronx, NY to Vincent and Mary Scotto (Monaco) and raised in Brooklyn, NY. In the early 2000s he moved to Staten Island, NY to be with his family. Anthony is survived by his wife, Camille Scotto (Santoro) of 56 years, his two sons, Vincent and Anthony Scotto, and his five grandchildren, Tyler, Gabriella, Anthony, Kayla and Paul. He is also survived by his two daughters-in-law, Christina and Kerry Scotto. In addition, he leaves behind his two brothers, Lenny and Thomas Scotto, along with his two sisters-in-law, Lucille and Debbie. Anthony graduated from Eli Whitney High School and went on to serve in the Army from 1966 to 1972. After leaving the Army he married the love of his life Camille on September 20, 1969. He began working at United Parcel Service as a driver and then manager for 35 years. For all those who knew Anthony on a personal level, you knew him to be a kind, compassionate and caring individual. Nothing meant more than his family, especially his grandchildren. If there was ever a time someone needed something, Pop was always there for them, even if it meant changing his schedule. Anthony was an avid outdoors man who loved to fish and hunt and would spend his free time doing so. The saying you only live once, does not apply to Anthony as he was someone who lived everyday! We are going to miss you terribly, but will keep your memory alive each and every day. We love you. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anthony's name to the American Cancer Society or Autism Awareness would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Monday, September 29, 2025, at John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd. (at Eltingville Station), Staten Island, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, September 30 2025 at St. Clare Church located at 110 Nelson Avenue Staten Island, New York 10308. Interment will follow in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
