Anthony Shorter, age 64, passed away on January 25, 2026. He was born on October 30, 1961, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Ronald and Beverly (nee Sabatine) Shorter.
Anthony was a beloved father to Heidi Shorter (Jared Rowe) and Sarah (Joe) Elkins, and a cherished grandfather to Bella Shorter and Jacob Juchnik. He was a dear brother to Tammy Shorter, Jeff Shorter, and Susan Shorter, a treasured uncle, and the loving companion of Tracy Menoes.
Anthony—known to many as Tony—enjoyed fishing, drawing, and spending time with family and friends. Loved beyond words, he was a funny, kind-hearted man who always found humor in life and brought smiles to those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are welcome on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 1:45 p.m., at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273 (please meet at cemetery by 1:30 p.m.).
