Raymond Blake, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026, in Westlake, Ohio. He was born on September 18, 1939, and throughout his life, he made indelible marks on the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Raymond was a man of many interests and passions, including his love for the game of golf. He found joy and camaraderie on the greens, whether playing a leisurely round with friends or perfecting his swing. His enthusiasm for life was infectious, and he inspired others with his unwavering spirit and zest for new experiences.
He was the proud father of three children: Elizabeth Wellington (deceased, Phil), Raymond Blake II (Donna), and Shannon Garcia. Raymond cherished his role as a father, guiding and nurturing his children with steadfast love and support. His legacy lives on through them, as well as through his grandchild, the treasured Amanda Aubrey (John), and his great-grandchildren, Tanner and Lexi Aubrey, who brought immense joy and pride to his life.
Raymond was also a loving brother, remembered fondly by Lorrie Cumming, James Blake (Frances), Susan Shroge, Dorothy Scherer, and Bernie Blake. His siblings shared countless memories with him, highlighting the deep bonds of family that he valued so dearly.
His death reunites him with his beloved wives, Carolyne and Debbie, both who held special places in his heart.
The compassion, humor, and warmth Raymond brought into the lives of those around him will not be forgotten. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who carry his memory and spirit with them always.
Family and friends are welcomed Thursday, February 19, 2026, from beginning at 5:00 PM at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors, 13115 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44111, where closing prayers and reflections will be held at 6:30 PM. Inurnment Holy Cross Cemetery.
