Anthony Tasca

Anthony Tasca, 82, of North Providence, Rhode Island, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, owner and operator of Tasca Sand & Gravel Co. in Smithfield, Rhode Island, for 45 years before his retirement in 1982, died at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence on Thursday, February 21, 2002. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, February 24, 2002, 4-7 p.m., at Pontarelli-Marino Funeral Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, February 25, 8 a.m., at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, 9 a.m., at St. Lawrence Church, 624 Woonasquatucket Avenue, North Providence. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Military honors will conferred. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to Make-A-Wish, 744 Park Avenue, Cranston, RI 02910.
