Anthony W. Tello Sr.

Anthony William Tello, Sr., age 76, of Medford, passed away on December 25,2025. Born on February 3, 1949, in Boston, he was a devoted husband to Katherine (Carbone) Tello and a loving father to son Anthony William Tello, Jr., class of MHS 1991, Daughter, Tracey Ann Tello, class of MHS 1993.

Dad was a hardworking and dedicated man. He spent 39 years working as a Meat Cutter, where he was known for his skills, perfection, and custom orders. Despite his many responsibilities, he always made time for his family and his passions.

Though Dad may not have liked being the center of attention, he deserves to have his long years of fatherly love honored. He was a man of respect, kind and caring, loyal, driven, and hardworking, he left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

Dad's hobbies and interests helped define who he was. He enjoyed gardening, spending time with family, and hanging out with his grandchildren. On the weekends, he liked to garden, watch sports football (Pats), hockey (Bruins), and car racing. He liked model boat building, fishing, driving his Harley Davidson "Road King", and racing hydroplane boats with APBA for many years until he retired.

Anthony is survived by his beloved wife Katherine (Carbone) Tello, son, Anthony William Tello, Jr. of Merrimack, NH, and daughter, Tracey Tello of Medford. His adored grandchildren Ryan Christian Capone Tello of Medford, Anthony William Tello III of Merrimack, NH, Gabriella Katherine Tello of Merrimack, NH, Salvatore James Tello of Merrimack, NH. Daughter-in-law Kelly Maunsell Tello of Merrimack, NH, Brother of Richard Tello of Groveland and Thomas Tello of Medford, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

Funeral services will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday, December 31st, at 9 a.m. following by a funeral Mass celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 10 a.m. Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 to 8p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to American Cancer Society Fight Pancreatic Cancer Awareness. A cause close to Dad's heart.

We find comfort in knowing that Dad's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
