Anthony Marcell Tobiness

Anthony Marcell Tobiness, 47, of Yakima, Washington, passed away on July 12, 2022. Anthony was born on June 13, 1975, in San Francisco, California, to Robert and Linda Tobiness. Anthony was the youngest son of four children.
Anthony grew up in Madera, California, and in August 2007 Anthony and his family moved to Moxee, Washington.
Anthony met the love his life, Nancy Estrada, in 1998 and married her on October 6, 2007. Anthony and Nancy welcomed their first child, Lexi, in April 2004, followed by Teresa in June of 2006, Judah in November of 2009 and Jakeen in 2013.
Anthony earned his GED in 2008. From 2008 through the time of his passing, Anthony held a variety of jobs in Construction.
Anthony enjoyed several different sports and was a huge fan of the San Francisco 49'ers, Giants and the Warriors, but had a special passion for basketball. He coached youth basketball from 2008 up until his passing, and was blessed to coach all his children at different times. Anthony enjoyed traveling with his children to various tournaments, both locally and across the country, for nationals in support of their shared passion of the game.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Tobiness.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Nancy Tobiness, his two daughters, Lexianne Abell Tobiness, Teresa Rachele Tobiness, two sons, Judah James Tobiness and Jakeen Javon Tobiness. His parents, Robert and Linda Tobiness, stepfather, Joseph Marez, brothers, Mitchell Cueba and David Leary. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Elia Tobiness, grandmother, Margaret Morales, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 10:00am at Brookside Funeral Home (500 W. Prospect, Moxee, Washington 98936) with a Reception to follow.
The family would like to thank the Yakima Flight Basketball Coach, Tommy Lizotte, and all the team parents, Yakima Bulldogs Basketball Team Coach, Aaron Carrillo, and all the team parents, the Staff of Willow Springs Care, Etrnty, for the printing of shirts, Ben Rodriguez and Family, as well as all who donated. We would like extend a special thanks to Joseph Marez, Addie Rodriguez, and the wonderful staff at Brookside for the exceptional job in caring for the Tobiness Family.
