Anthony R. Utano, 91, of Liverpool, peacefully passed away on Wednesday at his home surrounded by his family. He was a native and life resident of Syracuse. Anthony was a graduate of St. John the Baptist High School and proudly served in the US Marine Corp during the Koren War. He was employed by Fays Drugs where he worked as a truck driver and was an active member of Teamsters Local 317. Anthony was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Jeanne in 2017; his two sisters, Ginny Horn and Mary Wilbur. Survivors include his four children, Deborah Wilhelm, Susanne (Paul) Pulvere; Michael (Lori) Utano and Patrick (Deborah) Utano; his two sister, Rose Herrmann and Dee Mufale; his eleven grandchildren, his thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call 4pm to 7pm Thursday at the Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd, Syracuse. A funeral service will be held 10am Friday at the funeral home with burial to follow in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay, N.Y.
