Anthony Verone, 76, of Winter Road, died Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born August 26, 1948, in New Castle, the son of the late Anthony P. Verone and Susan (Venditto) Verone, his mother survives in New Castle. He married Regina M. (Donofrio) Verone on December 06, 1975, she survives in New Castle. Anthony worked for the US Postal Service as a mail handler, retiring after 32 years. In high school, Anthony was a drummer in a band of his and his friends. He loved cooking and making pizza, and he loved music, especially Donny Iris and Neil Diamond. Above all, Anthony loved his family, children, and grandchildren.

In addition to his mother and wife, he is also survived by three children, Christine M. Verone of Boardman, OH, Anthony J. Verone and his wife Jamie of New Castle, Reanna M. Verone of Boardman, OH, six grandchildren, Christopher Bongivengo, Domenick Bongivengo, Luke Bongivengo, Lauryn Verone, Antonio Verone, and Angelo Igner.

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by one brother, James Verone.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 21, 2025, from 4 PM to 7 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 9:00 AM, at Holy Spirit Parish- St. Vitus Church. Father Aaron Kriss will officiate. Burial will be in St. Lucy Cemetery. The funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 8:30 AM.
