Anthony Ellis Waldrum was born in Guilford County, North Carolina on April 1, 1952 to Walter Waldrum, Sr. and Margaret Helen Jones Waldrum. Tony was a retired District Manager for GCA Services with 30 years of service, formerly Sunstate. Anthony was a graduate of Dudley High School and he loved his "Aggie Pride". In 2002 he married Brenda Daye. Tony was a devoted member and Deacon of Melfield United Church of Christ, He worked in various ministries in order to enhance his walk with God. Anthony enjoyed working and serving in the food ministry, Sunday School, he loved to sing and play, making people laugh, spending time with family and friends, especially the kids, enjoying all types of music, fashion and dressing and especially the Washington Commanders.
Following a period of declining health, Anthony E. Waldrum passed away into eternal life on February 26, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones in his home. While he is no longer here with us physically, we still feel and know that his love and memories surround us each and every moment.
He leaves loving and lasting memories to his wife Brenda D. Waldrum; three sons: Sharif Waldrum (Ferlen), of Stockton, Ca. Sheridan Crite (Sarah) of Sacramento Ca. JonAnthony Waldrum (TaNisha) and stepson, Quinton Daye both of Burlington, NC; three sisters: Linda Smith, Casselle Waldrum and Debra Benton and one brother: Walter Waldrum Jr. all of Greensboro, NC; two uncles: Dr. Harold Jones of Atherton, Ca. and Mr. Richard Jones (Ardele) of Greensboro,NC; six grandchildren: Jace Waldrum, Zyaire Daye, Jonah Waldrum, Darius Crite, Jalen Crite and Tylee Crite; four nieces: Shyvonne and Sahnye Waldrum, Sylvia Winston and Ashley Benton; three nephews: Vashon and Marcus Waldrum and Rev. Derrick Benton; a host of great nieces & nephews, cousins and dear friends.
