Anthony Ora "Andy" Wells, 72, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2024.
Born on November 12, 1951, in Canton, he was the son of the late Ora C. and Elma Sue (Jordan) Wells.
Andy's spirit is characterized by his easygoing nature and warm personality, and he is a cherished friend. He was known for never complaining and had an incredible ability to connect with people around the globe through technology. His humor shone brightly in every gathering, as he delighted in telling jokes and sharing a beverage with family and friends.
Andy attended Sandy Valley High School. He developed a passion for the arts that would remain a significant part of his life. He took drafting classes and honed his talents as an artist, a pursuit he held dear and shared with those around him.
He embraced various hobbies that brought him joy and fulfillment. A lover of the outdoors, Andy spent his days driving a semi, riding motorcycles, and working on them. His affinity for nature led him to trapping, hunting, and fishing, while his appreciation for wildlife was evident in his fondness for watching bluebirds.
A devoted sports fan, Andy was an avid follower of Ohio State and the Cleveland Browns.
Andy will be missed by his long-time companion, Lois Zifer Wells of Dover; his daughter, Chandra Wells of Canton; his two granddaughters, Karisma and Krystalin Waters; his brother, Daniel (Susan) Wells of Alliance; along with many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 5-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Jimmy Hatfield officiating.
