GIRARD - Anthony “Tony” William Wolf, 69, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025, at Mercy Health – St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
Born on Aug. 17, 1956, in Youngstown to Mitzi (Jones) Wolf and Anthony F. Wolf Jr., he was a 1974 graduate of Girard High School and a lifelong Girard resident.
Tony was a longtime member of the Girard Lions Club and a lifelong Cleveland sports fan. As a self-proclaimed “truck-ologist,” he was an ever-consistent source of driving directions to anywhere in the country. Known for his wry commentary, Tony was endlessly proud of his children, held a deep appreciation for great guitarists such as Eric Clapton and Joe Bonamassa, and never hesitated to bring a stray pet into his home.
Tony is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ruth (Parker) Wolf, whom he married Oct. 18, 1980; his three children and two grandchildren, Rachel Wolf (Michael and Archer Reilman), Jessica Hylton (Matthew and Nora), and Eric Wolf. He is also survived by his sisters, Linda (Joe) Barnot, Sandie Wolf, and Cathy (Anthony) Jones, as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever miss his quick wit and sardonic humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Cheryl Aurilio.
Family and friends may gather to pay respects from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at Kinnick Funeral Home 222 S. State St., Girard. Private services for family and friends will take place at a later date.
