Antimo "Tom" Pappadia, 68, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at the VITAS Healthcare Corporation Atlantic Inpatient Unit at St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Eleanore (Cote) Pappadia for 45 years.
Tom was born on May 22, 1955 in Montreal, Canada, a son of the late Giovanni "John" Pappadia and the late Grace (DeFazio) Pappadia Desomma. Before his retirement, Tom worked as a truck driver for Aljim, Schaeffer Food and Hartford Provisions for over 40 years. He loved to listen to music and attend concerts. He enjoyed making CDs for his family and friends and was a big fan of the Blues. He also enjoyed hanging out with his buddies at Brass City Pawn and he was a big NY Yankees fan. Most of all, Tom cherished spending time with his grandchildren, especially at car and comic shows.
Besides his wife, Eleanore, Tom leaves to cherish his memory his sons, John T. Pappadia and his wife, Amber of Waterbury, CT, Marc T. Pappadia of Waterbury, CT, brother, Agostino "Tino" Pappadia and his wife, Robin of Waterbury, CT, sister, Immaculata "Mickey" Pappadia Rosenbeck of Morristown, AZ, two grandsons, Nicholas John Pappadia and Aidan John Pappadia, brother-in-law, James A. Cote of Bristol, CT as well as several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements: Calling hours for Tom will be held on Monday, November 13, 2023 from 4:00 – 6:45 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT. A Memorial Service will follow the wake at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
