Antioco Tinoco, age 92, of Atwater, California passed away on February 27th 2026. Antioco Tinoco was born on January 6, 1934 in Guanajuato, Mexico. Antioco died peacefully at home surrounded by family. He was known as "Papá Coco" by his grandchildren. He lived most of his life in Houston, Texas where he worked construction for over 30 years, went to church every Sunday and enjoyed attending baseball games. He loved retiring in Yuriria, Guanajuato with his beloved wife and enjoyed walking to the "plaza" and having some delicious food and conversations with old friends. After the passing of his wife, Antioco returned to the United States. He was cared for by family in his final years. He never missed a single Astro's game during baseball season and looked forward to it every year. He will be remembered for his love for the Houston Astros, his stories of his youth and his love and selflessness in taking in 3 children as his own.

Antioco is preceded in death by his wife Guadalupe Villanueva. He is survived by his 3 children: Bertha Acosta, Maria Carmen Tinoco Vargas, Rafael Tinoco: 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Antioco Tinoco, de 92 años, de Atwater, California, falleció el 27 de febrero de 2026. Antioco Tinoco nació el 6 de enero de 1934 en Guanajuato, México. Antioco falleció en paz en su hogar, rodeado de su familia. Sus nietos lo conocían como "Papá Coco". Vivió la mayor parte de su vida en Houston, Texas, donde trabajó en la construcción durante más de 30 años, asistía a la iglesia todos los domingos y disfrutaba de los partidos de béisbol. Le encantó retirarse en Yuriria, Guanajuato, con su amada esposa, y disfrutaba pasar tiempo por la plaza, disfrutando de la deliciosa comida y charlando con viejos amigos. Tras el fallecimiento de su esposa, Antioco regresó a Estados Unidos. Su familia lo cuidó durante sus últimos años. Nunca se perdió un solo partido de los Astros durante la temporada de béisbol y lo esperaba con ansias cada año. Será recordado por su amor por los Astros de Houston, sus historias de juventud y su amor y generosidad al acoger a sus tres hijos como suyos.

A Antioco le precedió en la muerte su esposa Guadalupe Villanueva. Le sobreviven sus tres hijos: Bertha Acosta, María Vargas y Rafael Tinoco; 13 nietos y 12 bisnietos.
