Mike Krebs

Our Dad was born December 14, 1943 in Boise ID. He very peacefully slipped into the Lord's arms February 10, 2026 in Merced CA surrounded by his loved ones. Growing up in Boise he learned at a young age what hard work was. He had to be up before dawn to milk the cows and tend to the ranch before school and then after school chores were done also. Then moved to Merced at age 14, the other kids were envious because he knew how to drive already. Attended High school, class of '62 and Merced College.

Dad was drafted into the Army and went to boot camp in 1967 and then to Denang Vietnam where the Agent Orange disease stayed with him for the rest of his life. Dad was always proud to say he was a Vietnam Veteran, even though he was not treated right when he came home.

Riding motorcycles was one of his passions in his free time along with trips in the converted bus.

In 1975 dad was set up on a blind date that would forever change his life. He met our mom and fell in love and they got married. Then they set up a wonderful home & raised their children.

Worked at APC parts store and then Kirby Mfg for over 40 years, dad made long lasting friendships everywhere he went and was known for his stories and adventures. Dad was a proud Mason at Lodge 99 and went through all the chairs and was Worshipful Master in '99 & '07.

Many times dad would be called by a buddy for help. From mechanical to fixing a broken door, daddy was multi talented. He put that ethic into his kids too. We were not allowed to drive until we knew how to bleed brakes or change tires.

Proceeded in death by his parents, Fred & Phyllis and our mom Barbara. He leaves behind Andrea (Dean), Julie, Phyllis Nikki & sudo son Jon. Grandchildren Makenzie, Lukas & Jessie.

Funeral service will be Feb. 21, 2026 at 10 AM at Evergreen Cemetery with his Masonic Brothers then following prayers before heading to the Masonic Lodge #99, for Celebration of Life, luncheon and stories.
