Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully at home, with her family at her side, on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at the age of 78 years.
Antonia was born on November 11, 1946, daughter of the late Jose and Margaret Vasquez, in Saginaw. She met the love of her life, Rudy Delgado, while at the movies. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on June 11, 1966. They loved to dance and were affectionately called “Ginger and Fred Astaire.” She retired from Luther Manor after 35 dedicated years of service. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family. Antonia enjoyed watching sports with her grandsons and was an avid Michigan State Fan. She loved making delicious breakfast for her family on Sunday morning. She loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and was their #1 Fan. Antonia enjoyed going to garage and estate sales, listening to Mexican Music, and cared for her dog, Papi. She leaves behind a loving, living legacy. She left mark on those she loved, through her caring heart, selflessly loving and living an amazing life filled with many beautiful memories.
Surviving are her children, Linda Delgado of Saginaw; Ruby Ann Delgado of Saginaw; Rudy Delgado Jr.; and Joseph Delgado of Texas; five grandchildren: Michael Delgado; Julia (AJ Bass) Delgado; Crystal Delgado, Rudy “JJ” Delgado III; Daniel (Jasmine Colier) Cavazos Jr.; five great-grandchildren: Layla Garcia; Aubri Delgado; Laci Delgado; Daniel “Chato” Cavazos III; Dominic Cavazos, Marianna Cavazos; sisters and brother, Oralia (Raymond) Torres, Joe Vasquez, Vera (Roy) Gallardo and Olga Vasquez; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Frank Vasquez and sister, Yolanda Cappucino.
Antonia’s family would like to extend their appreciation to Covenant at Home Hospice for the exceptional care.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Pastors Frank and Rita Gallardo will officiate, with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the chapel, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. where they will be present for a prayer vigil at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will also take place on Monday at the chapel from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
