Antonio Di Biase Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by North Haven Funeral Home, Inc. on Mar. 2, 2026.
Antonio Di Biase, 89, of Hamden, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 27, 2026, just shy of his 90th birthday. Though he would have turned 90 this month, his life was rich with decades of purpose and love. He was the beloved husband of 63 years to Angela Crocco Di Biase. He was born in Civitella providence of Benevento, Italy on March 19, 1936, and was the son of the late Enrico and Lucia Lavorgna Di Biase. Antonio later made his way to Venezuela for many years and eventually to Connecticut, where he built not just a home, but a reputation as someone you could rely on. As he moved across countries and enjoyed different cultures, one thing never changed and that was his quiet strength and his commitment to others. He enjoyed driving his van, often offering rides to the airport or doctors' appointments for any of his friends or family. For him driving people around was never a burden, it was a simple act of care. If someone needed help, he was already on his way. Antonio will be remembered for always listening carefully to others, speaking thoughtfully, and showing up when it mattered for his friends and family. Antonio's legacy is not measured in material things, but in the values he passed down, resilience, humility, service, and unconditional love. His family carries forward his strength. His community remembers his generosity. And his grandchildren carry his lessons in their hearts, they were his greatest joys in life, and he loved them all unconditionally. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered. Beloved father of Enrico Di Biase, Franco Di Biase (Sandy Zbinden), Lucia Paone (Massimo). Loving Nonno of Anthony Di Biase (fiancé Briona Martinez), Alessandro Paone and Cristian Paone. Also survived by his brother of Fiore Di Biase, nephews Enrico and Ivan Di Biase.

The visiting hours will be on Wednesday, March 4th, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM in The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Paul VI Parish at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Avenue, Hamden at 12:30 PM. Entombment will follow in the All Saints Mausoleum.
