Edward Petrosemolo Obituary

Edward F. Petrosemolo
Edward F. Petrosemolo, 88, of Hamden, formerly of Grove Road, North Haven, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 21st, 2026, with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 63 years to Rosemary Hines Petrosemolo. Ed was born in New Haven on September 7th, 1937, and was the son of the late Frank and Jennie Amarante Petrosemolo. Ed worked as a machine operator for Rockbestos Cable Corp for many years until his retirement and was a member of the Pine Grove Men's Club, North Haven. Loving father of Lynn French (Daniel) and Susan Dwyer (Daniel). Proud and devoted grandfather to his grandchildren, Henry and Riley Dwyer. Loving cousin, brother-in-law and uncle to many cherished family members and dear friends.
Eddie loved the simple things in life. He loved his wife Rosemary dearly, his girls, sons-in-law and grandchildren. He loved to eat and cook his famous Genovese sauce and dandelion soup for family and friends. Eddie loved animals and washing his car and the driveway. He loved his garden and spent countless hours tending to it, especially his famous fig tree! He loved the beach, being outside but also a really good nap. He was a huge patriot, loved the Statue of Liberty and anything to do with history. The visiting hours will be Wednesday, March 25th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at
The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning, March 26th in St. Joseph Church of Blessed Michael McGivney Parish, 129 Edward Street, New Haven at 10:00. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Animal Haven, Inc, 89 Mill Road, North Haven, CT 06473.

Dear Auntie Roe, Lynnie, Susie(and Family)

So sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. Time hasn't dampened the many good times and laughs we had with your family. Nor, have we forgotten the many times when Eddie would be at the forefront in making sure everyone was alright, or to find out if we needed something. We're in Florida right now, so we won't be there to pay our respects to a wonderful man and his family. He leaves a legacy to be proud of, ...genuine, ...caring, ...and always there! Please accept our heartfelt condolences. Eddie and your family will be in our prayers.

Love and with sorrow,

Lou & Maryann Ranciato
