Antonio Assis Goncalves Faria passed away on October 19, 2025, at the age of 68, surrounded by his family. He lived a life full of kindness, generosity, hard work, and a deep devotion to the people he loved.
Tony was born on August 12, 1957, in the town of Fonte de Bastardo on the island of Terceira in the Azores, Portugal. Tony was one of eight children and was among the first in his family to immigrate to the United States. He first landed in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, in 1978 alongside his best friend and brother, Ernesto. Tony eventually made his way to California in the early 1980s.
Tony founded three successful drywall businesses, Faria Brothers, with his brothers, Jose, Ernesto, and brother-in-law, Jorge Branquinho. TFK Drywall, later joined by his brothers Miguel and Ernesto, and Faria and Sons Drywall. Together, they built not just companies, but multi-generational family legacies.
Tony is survived by his beloved wife Anne Marie, his three sons Chris (Sharon), David (Rebekah), and Mark (Keke), and six grandchildren: Brian, Max, Cooper, Dylan, Tyler, and Gabriella. He also leaves behind his beloved siblings, Jose Eduardo Faria (Veronica), Eduino Miguel Faria (Vivelina), Maria Edite Toste (John), Ernesto Manuel Faria (Lisa), Ivone de Jesus Branquinho (Jorge), Zelia da Conceicao Faria Costa (Luciano), and Carla Marilia Faria (Paul Salvador), numerous nephews and nieces, extended family, and lifelong friends.
Tony called
Hollister, California, home. Here he lived with his wife, Anne Marie, and their two dogs. Tony and Anne Marie were known for hosting phenomenal parties and holiday gatherings that brought loved ones together year after year.
Tony loved sports, always cheering passionately for his home soccer team, S.L. Benfica. Tony was also a loyal Raiders fan. But what Tony loved most was golfing with his 3 sons on the weekends.
Tony and Anne Marie shared a beautiful life full of adventure and love. Together, they traveled the world and made countless memories. They recently fulfilled a shared dream of purchasing a home in Terceira. It was here, in the beautiful Azores, that they planned to spend their summers.
Tony was a man with an immense heart, devoted, generous, and funny. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, success and love.
Tony, you are our heart's precious memory. May you rest in eternal peace until we meet again.

Rosary and viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 9:00-10:30 AM at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home, 870 San Benito Street in
Hollister, California. Following the viewing, a mass will be held at 11:00 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 1200 Fairview Rd,
Hollister, California. Private burial to be held with family at a later date.
