April Michelle Brumfield, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, was born September 23, 1992, in Kansas City, Missouri. She left this world much too soon, passing away on June 25, 2025, in Independence, Missouri.
A graduate of Truman High School, April dedicated her life to both her career in retail sales and, more importantly, to her family. She was happiest when surrounded by loved ones, especially during cherished moments spent hosting at church, reading, or enjoying movie nights filled with laughter and dancing with her daughters. Those dance parties, where joy filled the living room, will forever be remembered as a testament to her vibrant spirit. April also enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Chiefs.
April's kindness and unwavering faith were hallmarks of her personality. Known for her bright smile and warm heart, she had an innate ability to uplift others, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met. She cherished her role as a mother and took immense pride in her daughters, celebrating every milestone they achieved. These proud moments were the highlights of her life, reflecting the deep love and unwavering support she offered.
April's legacy will live on through her family. April is survived by her beautiful daughters, Alice and Alexis Carlson; parents, Michelle (Jonathan) Brumfield and Robert (JaCinda) Brumfield; sisters, Allison (Kenny) Brumfield, Christina Brumfield, Jaylee Brumfield; grandparents, Ronnie (Kelly) Brumfield and Barbara (Edward) Bradfield; 4 uncles; 2 aunts; 5 cousins; extended family and dear friends, who were fortunate to know her warmth and kindness. While preceding her in death are her grandpa, Frank Brumfield; aunt, Christie Welch; and cousin, Alex Brumfield.
In honoring her memory, family and friends are invited to gather at Carson-Speaks Chapel in Independence, Missouri. The visitation will take place on June 30, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service starting at 2:00 PM. April will then be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery in Independence, following services.
As we reflect on April’s life, let us hold close her laughter, her instilled faith in each of us, and the enduring love she imparted to her family. She touched many lives and leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire and uplift those left behind.
