April was born on September 22, 1982 to Don and Brenda Kerr. Her younger years found their military family traveling before settling down in Moorhead for some time and later landing in Cottage Grove. She graduated from Park High School in 2001 and went on to complete her Associate's Degree in Theatre at Inver Hills Community College. She had a long career at Target working for over 20 years. Most recently, she was working at McLane Company in Northfield, MN for the past 5 years.
April enjoyed being a part of theater through the years, whether it was participating or just going to events. She even traveled to New York a few times to experience the best of the best inviting others to join her. She appreciated comedy of all forms but was very fond of her favorites - Steve Martin, Martin Short and David Spade. She even took to the stage a few times doing her own stand-up comedy performances, which for those who knew her quiet countenance would be surprised, until they experienced one of her witty moments! She loved playing games and spending time with family and friends.
April was known for her sweet, kind and loving nature that touched the hearts of everyone around her. She will be eternally missed by her family but will be especially remembered as the best Aunt by her precious nieces and nephews. April's giving spirit is now shared in the generosity of extending the lives of four individuals by the donation of her organs
