Araceli Bernardino Guevarra

Araceli Bernardino Guevarra, 82, a loving and nurturing mother and grandmother passed away on February 21, 2026 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She was born on December 15, 1943 in Castillejos, Zambales Philippines. Raised by her parents Juanita and Juan (both deceased), Araceli was the eldest of her siblings Rodolfo, Ofelia, Sonia, Evelyn, Efren, and Raymundo. They all lovingly called her "Manang".

Araceli was a strong and resilient woman, overcoming many hardships growing up and raising 7 children on her own. She came to the United States in 2003 and worked really hard so that her children would be able to join her from the Philippines. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and taking care of her family and household. She also loved to watch her favorite Filipino drama and variety game shows.

Araceli is survived by her children Rolando, Revando, Rodolfo Neil (deceased), Rocelito, Ronaldo, Ricaredo, Rochelle, including 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A viewing and visitation service celebrating Araceli's life will be held on February 24, 2026 at the Holloman-Brown Funeral Home, Princess Anne Chapel (3445 Princess Anne Rd Virginia Beach) from 5:00-8:00pm.
