Aracely Carnes Obituary
Aracely grew up in Tennessee, after being adopted from an American couple. She married Samuel Carnes on May 8, 2022 at the Ranch House in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
She loved arts and crafts and enjoyed sewing and putting together floral arrangements.
She was preceded in death by her adoptive parents Lane and Jane Van Allen; and brother Gabriel Pena, Jr.
Survivors include her loving husband Samuel Carnes of Durant, Oklahoma; daughters Cecily Quazi of Chicago, Kimberly Davis of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; son James Collier, III of Tyler, Texas; grandchildren Nadia McGuire, Natalia McGuire, and Kira McGuire of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; Morrigan Quazi and Azreal Quazi of Chicago; uncle and aunt Homer and Berta Barrett of Mississippi; uncle Dagoberto Pena of Rogers, Arkansas; as well as other extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the Gordon Center, 305 N 2nd Ave, Durant, Oklahoma with Homer Barrett officiating.
