Mr. Hall, age 95, entered his heavenly home Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital after a brief illness.
Archie was born in Freeburn, KY to the late Brice Hall, Sr. and Fannie Johnson. He attended school in Pikeville, KY then worked driving trucks hauling coal before entering the U. S. Army. After serving during the Korean War, he began a career for Ceco Door Products that would last for 43 years. During that time, he helped relocate the plant from Cicero, IL to Milan, TN and retired as Superintendent of Door Press and Conversion.
Archie enjoyed bass and crappie fishing, boating, deer and rabbit hunting. He was a proud member of the Po Man’s Bass Club and made many friendships fishing and attending fishing tournaments. But above all, it was time with family that filled his heart the most. Nothing meant more to him than being surrounded by loved ones. In his later years, Archie found peace and purpose in his faith. He could often be found with his Bible open, tuning in to a favorite evangelist, or worshiping online through Facebook services with his home church, New Haven Baptist Church in Milan.
Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 66 years, Virginia Ferrell Hall; daughter, Dyane Coleman; brothers, Brice Hall, Jr., James Hall, Johnny Hall, Garnett Hall; sisters, Wynna Faye Mounts, Olive Blevins, Anna Jo Hall, Juanita Sue Pennington.
He is survived by sons, Greg (Charlotte) Hall of Milan, TN, Ralph Dwayne (Mary Lou) Hall of Winchester, NH; son-in-law, Jeff Coleman of Jackson,TN; brothers, Orison Hall, David Hall; sister, JoAnn Blakney; grandchildren, Jennifer Hall of Milan, TN, Joshua (Amanda) Hall of Cookville, TN, Sebastian Carosi of CA, Angel Medved of Milan, TN, Danelle (Adam) Slack of Mayfield, KY, Channtel Coleman of Jackson, TN; great-grandchildren, Christopher (Margaret Anne) Neal, Karley (Riley) Hampson, Kaden (Makenna) Slack, Ava Slack, Hazel Hall, Grayson Hall, Zander Griffith, Gianna Carosi and long time fishing buddy, Ricky Gowan; as well as several special nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers to serve are: Christopher Neal, Joshua Hall, Kaden Slack, Adam Slack, Brian Neal and Jake Throgmorton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital in Memphis which was one of Archie's favorite charities.
