Archie Langdon Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Macken Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Dec. 16, 2025.
Archie R. Langdon, 81, of Rochester, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home following a lengthy illness.

Archie was born on June 2, 1944, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, and graduated from Lourdes High School in 1963. In 1961, he met the love of his life, Caroline, and they were married on December 6, 1965, sharing 60 years of marriage together.

Archie proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years, including service during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Princeton. Following his military service, he dedicated 28 years to the Rochester Police Department, protecting and serving his community with honor and commitment.

After retirement, Archie continued to serve quietly, offering his time and help to family, friends, and the Amish community. He never sought recognition for his service, instead choosing a life of humble service that touched and changed many lives.

Archie enjoyed hunting, fishing, and weightlifting, and above all, he loved his family deeply.

He is survived by his loving wife, Caroline Langdon; his children, Tammy Drees (Steve), Christina Kent (Rick), and Archie Langdon (Tiffanie); 12 grandchildren, Dominic Drees (Leah), Zachariah Drees, Stephanie Sherer (Zac), Nathan Kent, Ashley Kent, Hayden Langdon, Hutton Langdon, Derek Stolarzyk (Lindy), Jenae Stolarzyk, Danny Stolarzyk, Brett Stolarzyk and Ashland Stager; 5 great-grandchildren, Anastasia, Ryker, Davie, Jentry and Sullie; his siblings, Thomas Langdon (Kathy) and Sharon Lynch; and Tully, his beloved dog.

Archie was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and three sisters.

A private family funeral will be held at Macken Funeral Home. In lieu of any gifts, memorials may be directed to The American Heart Association or for Parkinson's Research.

Archie will be remembered for his humble service, strong faith, and the enduring love he had for his family.
