It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Archie Watson, who departed this life on September 4, 2025.

Born on June 16, 1946, to the late Roger Sr. and Elmira Watson in Scottsville, Texas, Archie grew up in Marshall, Texas, where he attended Marshall High School. After graduation, he moved to Fort Worth, Texas, before making Houston, Texas, his cherished home.

In 1986, Archie married the love of his life, Cynthia "Cyndy" Godfrey, and together they welcomed two sons, Keith and Havin. Archie dedicated over 28 years to his professional semi-truck driving career at Sysco, retiring in 2006. Following his retirement, he played a pivotal role in helping Keith and Havin establish their family transportation company, H&K Transportation, sharing his extensive industry knowledge and experience.

Archie's greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed ushering Sunday services at Covenant Glen Church, taking trips to the casino, and cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys.

Archie will be fondly remembered for his candid life advice, his deep love for his family, and his unwavering commitment to doing things "His Way."

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger Sr. and Elmira Watson; his brothers, Roger Watson and Darrell Watson; his sisters, Jeanette King and Georgia Threats; his children, Patrich Hurst and Avery "Don" Watson; and his grandchild, Jarrett Jenkins.

Archie is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia "Cyndy" Watson; his children, Alonda Massey, Angela Hurst-Washington, Keisha Coleman, Kimberly Watson, Keith Watson, and Havin (Ashley) Watson; and his siblings, Margaret Grant, Ella Franklin, Betty Pearson, Sherry Watson, Martha Watson, William Watson, James Watson, and Paul Watson. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will cherish his memory.
