ARDATH SUTHERLAND Obituary

SUTHERLAND, Ardath Kincheloe, 82, of Sandston, passed away on December 11, 2011 at home. She was born June 22, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Mary L. and Phillip R. Kincheloe. She graduated from Harrisonburg High School and worked for the Virginia Department of Transportation until 1959, when she retired to become a full time housewife. She was a member of the Sandston Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband Fred G. Sutherland; a daughter, Lee Ann Waniner and her husband, John, of Sandston; a son, David Sutherland and his wife, Sarah of California, Md.; and five grandchildren, Aimee, Casey and Michelle Sutherland and Daniel and Matthew Warriner. Visitation will be held at the Sandston Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, December 14 from 3 to 5:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the Sandston Presbyterian Church on Thursday, December 15 at 11 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Sandston Presbyterian Church or a charity of your choice.
