Elbert Fleming

1938 - 2025

Elbert Lynn Fleming, 87, of Sandston, VA entered eternal rest on Thursday, November 20, 2025. He was born June 23,1938 in Clintwood, VA to Jessie Mayon and Homer Fleming.

Leaving behind the love of his life, Joyce Grubb Fleming, wife of 65 years; Elbert was a veteran who loved and fought hard for his country and his family. He was a Supervisor for Philip Morris USA at the Stockton Street facility and worked there for 30 years before retiring. Following retirement, he and his wife traveled and he spent much of his time fishing at Lake Gaston and Lake Kerr, deer hunting and enjoying his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Zane, Kipp, Kyle, and Kirk and sisters: Etta, Billie, and Ina. He is survived by his youngest sister Annette.

Also, he was preceded in death by his son Gregory. He is also survived by his son Scott (Melanie) and daughter-in-law Doris; and four grandchildren: Tyler (Karl), Castin (Jazsmine), Jessie (Jonathan) and Peyton along with five great-grandchildren: Isa, David, Rylee, Zane, and Chad.

There will be no funeral or memorial service held by the family at this time.
