Ricky Fleming
Ricky Paul Fleming, 66 years, 6 months, and 19 days old, passed away on March 8, 2026, at Rocky Ridge Manor in Mansfield, Missouri.
Ricky was born August 19, 1959, in Gainesville, Missouri to Charles and Wilda (Ludwig) Fleming.
Ricky was a 1977 Ava High School graduate. He worked in Ava at the Rawlings Sporting Goods Manufacturing for several years. He then moved to Idaho and later moved to California.There he worked in security at a manufacturing company in Sacramento, California for 25 years, and he was a breeder and raised minature Doberman Pinscher. He eventually moved back home to Douglas County, Missouri.
He was a Christian at a young age and a member of the New Hope Freewill Baptist Church in Ava. Ricky found enjoyment in hunting, fishing, and being with his family and friends. In his later years, he went to church with his friend, Marilyn Hicks. They attended the Mansfield Freewill Baptist Church. He also enjoyed outings with Marilyn looking for deer, turkey, and road trips. Ricky was always so kind and he loved visiting with his friends and family. He will be greatly missed.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Johny Crain and Rita Elliott Rogers and half-brother, Gene Fleming.
Ricky is survived by his daughter, Chelsie Cavasos; grandchildren, Isabella and Ricky Cavasos; his brothers, Rod Crain, Ronnie Crain, and Jamie Stillings; his brother-in-law, Butch Rogers; close friend, Marilyn Hicks; nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
A memorial service for Ricky will be Friday, March 13, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, Missouri. Officiating will be Pastor Bion Irwin. Ricky’s request was to be cremated and the family is honoring his wishes.
