Danny VanEaton, son of Wanda (Baty) VanEaton and the late William “Woody” VanEaton, born December 5, 1958, in Lebanon, Missouri, departed this life on March 1, 2026, at his home in Mansfield, Missouri, at the age of 67 years, 2 months, and 24 days.

Danny grew up in Mansfield and graduated from Mansfield High School, Class of 1977. Following High School, Danny went to work for Jack and Maxona Lawler at the Lawler Station in Hartville, working on cars and changing oil. After working for Jack and Maxona for several years, Danny went to work for Doug Crisp at Doug Crisp Motors, selling and detailing cars. Danny was always “wheeling and dealing”. He could sell almost anything, including ice to an Eskimo. Later, Danny went on to work for himself, buying and selling cars and pretty much anything he could get his hands on.

In his spare time, Danny loved to go to auctions, the races, and the coffee shop to visit with friends and solve the world's problems one cup of coffee at a time. Danny could often be found cruising town just to see what was going on, or parked on the square watching the cars go by. Above all else, he loved to spend time with his family, especially attending basketball games where he would watch his granddaughter cheer.

Danny was preceded in death by his father, William “Woody” VanEaton, one brother, Willy VanEaton, and one brother-in-law, Rick Adamson.

Danny is survived by his mother, Wanda VanEaton, one son, Derek VanEaton, four sisters, Cathy Crisp and husband, Doug, Julie Adamson, Nancy Wilson, and Mary Smith, one granddaughter, Lilly “Grace” VanEaton, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Danny was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
