Ardella Newgard Obituary

Ardella was born on May 23, 1942 on the family farm near Eckman, ND, the 10th of 14 children. She was raised in the Eckman and Glenburn area and graduated from Glenburn High School in 1960. After graduation, Ardella worked as a waitress at a café in Rugby before moving to Minot. In Minot she worked as a cook for numerous eateries before retiring in 2017. She was once married to Wayne Newgard.
Ardella will be remembered by her family as sarcastic and bull-headed, but with a good sense of humor. She was devoted to her family and loved cooking family dinners. Ardella also enjoyed knitting and crocheting on occasion.
Ardella is survived by her sons, Marshall and Kyle Newgard, both of Minot; grandchildren, Cody, Casey, Jonah, and Jacob Newgard; great-grandchildren, Amelia, Paisley, Ryland, Aven, Shane, Cameron, Hunter, and Blaire; and a sister, Karen Secord.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Wade; and siblings, Betty, Bud, Beverly, Joyce, Helen, Walter, Hazel, Raymond, Robert, Harold, Sally, Kenneth, and Eunice.
Visitation: Monday, August 19 from 5:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Funeral Service: Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
