Arden Marie Abbott, age 88, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 21, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed. Arden is preceded in death by her dear parents, John Wells Bramble and Stattie Greene; her loving husband, Arthur Hayden Abbott; and her brother, John “Jack” Bramble. She is survived by her loving son, Arthur Keith Abbott and wife Dawn; her dearest grandchild, Hayden Lee Abbott; her wonderful step-grandchildren, Ashley Hope Kelly, Brittany Paige Knighton, and Tyler Blake Julian; as well as her sister-in-law Beverly Bramble and her amazing west coast family. She is also survived by many extended family members on both the Abbott and Bramble sides as well as many of her dear friends, whom she loved deeply.
Arden was a lifelong El Paso resident and a member of Trinity First United Methodist Church. She also attended Coronado Christian Church, where her parents were former members when driving long distances became difficult. She had a wonderful love of home, family, and friends. She was employed for almost 20 years as a Key Punch Operator in data processing for the El Paso Natural Gas Company.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Prayer Service to commence at 6:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home-West. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 9:00 AM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to Trinity First United Methodist Church, 801 N Mesa St., El Paso, TX, 79902; or Coronado Christian Church, 118 Belvidere St., El Paso, TX 79912.
Services are entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N. Resler Dr.
