Arden Charles “Charlie” McBride

8/5/1972 - 12/24/2025 (53)

Charlie was born in Jackson, Michigan on August 5th, 1972. He passed away in Murray, Utah on December 24th, 2025.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Linda, his brother David, and his nephews Jesse and Sam. He is survived by his sister and best friend Dana, his loving sister Cheryl (Larry), and foster sister Tiffini. As well as his precious daughter Melissa (Nathan), his daughter’s mother Renee (Kevin), and adored grandson Leeland, who brought him immense pride and joy. Also many cousins, nieces, nephews, supportive co-workers, and countless friendships.

Charlie was a man that would truly give you the shirt off his back. He touched so many lives and in return, gained a lot of care and respect from others. He was always willing and wanting to help others; whether it was assisting friends move, mowing their lawn, changing their oil, cooking for them, giving them rides; his helpfulness was endless, and he never asked for a thing in return. He was also a very hard worker, pouring his heart and soul into his work and giving his all to employers who valued his efforts.

He was an excellent cook, whipping up delicious meals on the stove or a juicy steak on the grill. So stating that he worked as a cook multiple times in his lifetime, should come as no surprise. And he did so, for the last few years, at the very facility that helped him regain sobriety. He took great pride in this role, as it allowed him to give back and support others on their own sobriety journeys.

He treasured his truck, a 1976 GMC K2500. He drove it so proud as it was given to him by his only brother and was his cherried connection to him after his passing. Another achievement Charlie valued very much was his home; a place he called his own that reminded him of his hard work and dedication to himself and his independence

Charlie also loved music; whether it was playing air drums, or going to concerts with good friends and jamming out to his favorite artists, this was one of his most favorite things to do. He will be remembered most for his open and generous heart, helping hands, and the compassion he showed everyone he met.

Services for a celebration of his life will be announced at a later time.
