Seashore, Ardis Elaine (Stockland)
Ardis Elaine Seashore (Stockland), 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 29, 2025. Ardis was born in Lake Lillian, MN on February 9, 1933 to Eli and Emma Stockland. She grew up on a farm in Lake Lillian and attended Country School before attending Atwater High School and graduating in 1951. She moved to Minneapolis after high school and worked at 7-Up Bottling as an auditor. Later in life, she got her AA degree at Minneapolis Junior College.
She met the love of her life Roger Seashore on a blind date on July 5, 1952. They married on November 13, 1954 and enjoyed 70 years of marriage together. They had four children: Scott, Mark, Trent and Jelane. She was a homemaker for many years before working as a Special Ed aide at Sandburg Jr High and then worked at General Mills (Accounting) for many years until retirement.
Ardy & Roger have been deeply committed to their church. Ardy taught Sunday School (40 years), Vacation Bible School leader/ teacher (20 years), Luther League counselors, Advent workshop, Boy Scout/Girl Scout leaders, had Vacation Bible School for the grandkids each summer for many years and enjoyed family time with her children and grandchildren. She liked watching her kids and grandkids at various sporting events, recitals, concerts and other activities. She loved her flower gardens, coffee parties, time with family and friends at Lake Pulaski for over 50 years, traveling, music, piano, oil painting and many friendships.
She is survived by her loving husband Roger and children: Scott, Mark, Trent (Mary) and Jelane (Craig). Grandchildren: Kyle, Amy, Morgan (Alex), Serena (Matt), Nate, Abbey (Erik), Jackson and Hannah. Great Grandchildren: Oliver, Landon, Molly, Graham and Emma.
Ardy is preceded in death by her parents (Eli & Emma Stockland) and siblings: Gaylord Stockland (Betty), Joyce Hemminger (Roy), Roger Stockland (Virginia) and Mike & Leone Gustafson (Rog's sister and husband), grandson Connor.
A funeral will be held at 11am on February 14th at St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church, 17205 County Rd 6, Plymouth, MN with visitation beginning at 10 am. The service will also be livestreamed at www.spdlc.org/livestream. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society.
