Seashore, Roger Thompson

Roger Thompson Seashore, 97, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 17, 2026. Roger was born in Buffalo, MN on October 18, 1928 to Harry & Esther Seashore. He grew up on a family farm in Buffalo. Roger had one sister (Leone) who was four year older. In 1936, they moved to Minneapolis after losing the farm due to the Depression. He graduated from Minnehaha Academy in 1947. Roger started classes at the University of MN but then left and worked for Northwest Airlines. Roger was drafted during the Korean war. He was sent to Korea and was an airplane mechanic for a short period and then got assigned to be a "chauffeur" to a General. After some time in Korea, they were transferred to Japan. He was discharged in the fall of 1952.

He met the love of his life Ardis Seashore on a blind date on July 5, 1953. They married on November 13, 1954 and enjoyed 70 years of marriage together. They had four children: Scott, Mark, Trent and Jelane. He became a bricklayer and worked for 40 years until retirement.

Roger & Ardy have been deeply committed to their church. Roger volunteered in various church activities. He enjoyed wood working (crafts for Advent workshop & grandkids VBS). He was a Boy Scout leader and was so proud his 3 sons all achieved Eagle Scout. He helped with Vacation Bible School for the grandkids each summer for many years and enjoyed family time with his children and grandchildren. He liked watching the kids and grandkids at various sporting events, recitals, concerts and other activities. He loved fishing and pheasant hunting with his boys and grandkids! He enjoyed their neighbor coffee parties, time with family and friends at Lake Pulaski for over 50 years, lots of traveling, music, and many friendships.

He is survived by his children: Scott, Mark, Trent (Mary) and Jelane (Craig). Grandchildren: Kyle, Amy, Morgan (Alex), Serena (Matt), Nate, Abbey (Erik), Jackson and Hannah. Great Grandchildren: Oliver, Landon, Molly, Graham and Emma.

Roger is preceded in death by his wife Ardis, his parents (Harry & Esther Seashore) and his sister Leone Gustafson (Mike), and grandson Connor and lots of close relatives and friends.

Per his wishes, there will be no funeral. Private Interment at Fort Snelling at a later date.
