Ardith Ann (Soles) Vobr, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on December 1, 2025, at Sandhills Care Center in Ainsworth, NE. She was born on May 28, 1935, at the Ainsworth Hospital to Fred and Bertha (Ford) Soles.

Ardith was raised on the Soles ranch east of Springview, NE, where she attended District 4 School, grades 1-8, and graduated from Keya Paha County High School.

Ardith met the love of her life, Al(bert) H. Vobr Jr. at the square dances in Wewela, SD and married on May 9, 1965. At this time, she and her husband made a home at the Soles ranch. Ardith spent her days milking cows and raising sheep. She and Al kept the family's Hereford cows and are still raising them today. Ardith always had a cat or two on the place that she treated like children. In her spare time, a person could find Ardith baking, knitting slippers or sweaters for family and friends. She also loved trying new crafts such as plastic canvas, Artex painting, beadwork, and other small crafts. Ardith also spent some time sewing shirts for her husband. She loved spending time with family and friends.

Throughout the years, Ardith was part of the Springview TOPS Club, Historical Society, and the Farm Bureau. Sometime in the 90s, they joined the New Hope Community Church, where she gave her life to the Lord and was baptized alongside her husband. Ardith was very involved in the church and helped with Awana and anywhere else that was needed. As she and Al became unable to do all the things they previously enjoyed in their younger years, they were assisted in their home by niece, Lila Einspahr, and great-niece, Kim Scarborough became a resident caregiver in their home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Bertha (Ford) Soles; sister, Georgene and JB Griffith; brother, Jack Soles; niece, Karen Henry (Earl), and nephew-in-law, Howard Einspahr; parents-in-law, Albert and Kathryn (Zastrow) Vobr; brothers-in-law, Ted Vobr, Charley Vobr, Lloyd (Margaret) Adel, and Wallace (Helen) Anderson; and sister, JoAnn (Vobr) Goldade.

Ardith is survived by her loving husband, Al Vobr; two first cousins, Mariel (Soles) Fegley of Bassett, NE and Christine Elliot of Auburn, WA; two nieces, Lila (Earl) Einspahr of Bartlett, NE, Carol Earl of Gothenburg, NE; one nephew, David Earl of Sterling, CO; three great nieces; eight great nephews; several great-great-nieces and nephews and several great-great-great-nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews. She leaves behind her close friend Shirley Swan, as well as other special friends, Mark Frick, Scotty Nelson, Melody Snelly, Melanie Martin, and many other close family and friends. A special thank you goes to the Sandhills Care Center, AseraCare Hospice, Pastor Tim Wyrick, and JoJo Keinke.

Funeral Service was held on December 5, 2025 at the New Hope Community Church in Springview with Pastors Tim Wyrick, Sam Courts and Solomon Adams officiating. Music was provided by Kayla Schrantz with the congregation singing “It Is Well With My Soul” and “Because He Lives.” The CD Selection “In My Father’s House” by Elvis Presley was played. A Poem was read by Lila Einspahr. Casketbearers were: Mark Frick, John Roeber, Bruce Palmer, Brian Munger, Nathan Wyrick and Scotty Nelson.
