The daughter of Francisco Vela and Leonidez Valdez was born on April 14, 1963. Sally was a beautiful soul, she had a way of bringing joy to others. Her iconic laugh, caring, and selfless character are what will remain in our hearts. Sally will be remembered best for giving unconditional acceptance to everyone and always being there when needed. It is with deep sorrow that I write after a long stressful battle her heart could no longer withstand the medical concerns, she fought so hard. On May 24, 2024, she was carried into paradise to reunite with her parents, sister Adelita, son Manuel, Daughter in law Katrina and her grandchildren who were patiently waiting for her to arrive at heaven's gates and start laughing and dancing in the purple rain.
Sally's memory will live on through her children Melissa, Maricella, Miguel Angel, Marlina, her 14 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 8 siblings, and many nieces and nephews all whom she loved dearly. Her presence at family gatherings will forever be missed. Until we meet again, our Selfie Queen, Mom, Grandma, GGma, Tia, and Sister, at the crossroads walking to the gates of heaven we will miss you.
