Ariel A. McNeil, age 18 years, a lifelong resident of Camden, passed away suddenly on November 13, 2023.
Loving daughter of Lizzie Canty (Isaac Cosme) and Eric McNeil. Devoted sister of Amyrah Smith, Ruby Canty, Dior Canty, Amory Velez Cosme, Nyasia McNeil, Eric McNeil Jr., Eriyna Matthews, Sanahi Nieves, Elijah McNeil, Aaron McNeil and the late Isaac Cosme. Beloved granddaughter of maternal grandparents, Lizzie Diaz and Nelson Velez and paternal grandparents, Darlene and John McNeil. Dear aunt of Anastasia. Also survived by her mentor, Tawanda "Wawa" Jones, boyfriend, Nigel Davis and host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Ariel was a 2023 graduate of Brimm Medical Arts High School in Camden and was currently attending Rowan University in Glassboro. She had a talent for drawing and photography, using her creativity to bring beauty into the world. Ariel also enjoyed being in nature, with a particular love for plants and animals.
Ariel's practical skills were equally impressive, as she could always be counted on to fix things around the house. In addition to her artistic pursuits and home projects, Ariel worked part-time as a pharmaceutical technician. With her captivating presence and grace, Ariel also shared her passion for modeling. She found joy in simple pleasures, such as roller skating, and approached life with a warmth that brightened the world of those around her. As we mourn the loss of Ariel, let us remember the positive impact she had on those around her and the fond memories we shared. Ariel will be missed dearly by friends and family.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 9-11 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Camden Funeral Home, 3425 River Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Pennsauken.
