Peacefully on March 21, 2024, Arlene A. Grzybowski, age 75, of Mt. Lebanon, passed away with her beloved husband, Edward, at her side.   Arlene was the daughter of the late Alex and Olga Redmerski of Sheraden.  She attended and graduated from Holy Innocents grade school and high school.  Arlene was employed by Alcoa Aluminum Corporate Offices for 30 years, until her retirement from Alcoa.    She is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 50 years, Edward.  Also survived by sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Ball (Paul), Janice Rizzi (Ted), Joyce Shanko (Doug), and Judith Rosene (Dale).   Also survived by her Aunt Ellen, Judy Pacasa and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and caring friends.   Arlene loved animals and was actively involved with Animal Friends where she received the Volunteer of the Year Award.   She loved gardening, music, trivia, traveling with Edward and those special trips with her friends.    Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 1- 4 p.m. followed by a Blessing Service at 4:00 p.m. at the  WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott 15220, (412-563-2800),  Family would like to thank the staff at Magee-Women’s Hospital and Hospice and all those who went above and beyond to make Arlene’s final days and weeks peaceful and comfortable.  For that we are extremely grateful.  Family suggests donations be made to Neuromyelitis Optica (NMO) research at the Mayo Clinic or to Animal Friends-Save Them All Animal Rescue and Sanctuary.   www.slaterfuneral.com
