Arlene Jarrett Jones passed away on December 2, 2025, at Copper Creek Assisted Living in South Jordan, Utah, at the age of 93.
Arlene was born June 6, 1932, in Nephi, Utah, to William Stanley Jarrett and Delta Jane Howell Jarrett. She grew up in Nephi surrounded by her six beloved siblings—Donna, Von, Emma, Earl, Clyde, and Glen. She treasured her relationships with them and always looked forward to family trips, gatherings, and long visits. Arlene also adored her many nieces and nephews and made a point to stay connected with them throughout her life.
Arlene was a 1950 graduate of Juab High School. She was honored to serve as part of the Ute Stampede Royalty. Shortly after high school, she married Don Jones. They welcomed four children: Katherine, Rodney, Russell, and Bradley. Their family lived in various places over the years, and Arlene fondly recalled the friendships she formed and the memories she gathered in each new community. Each of her children was born in a different town, a testament to the many chapters of their families journey.
Arlene was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and found deep joy in her temple service, especially during the years she spent in the St. George and Albuquerque temples.
Over the course of her working life, Arlene held several positions, including with Nephi City and Hurst Ben Franklin. She was known for her sharp mind, excellent bookkeeping skills, and remarkable memory, which she maintained until just days before her passing. She loved music and art, and she enjoyed staying in touch with family and friends—especially through Facebook.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; all of her siblings; her daughter, Kathy; and her granddaughter, Nicole. She is survived by her three sons, 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 6, in Nephi, Utah, at 222 S 100 E, beginning at 1:30 PM. A viewing will take place beforehand from 12:30 to 1:15 PM. Interment will be at the Vine Bluff Cemetery at 1200 N 400 E, Nephi, Utah.
